Artesian Designs was founded by Kristy Wagner while designing her family’s home on Artesian Avenue in West Bucktown, Chicago. Kristy is a firm believer that form follows function - and it all begins with the floor plan. She strives to optimize the layout so that every inch of a space is usable in an intuitive way - and then brings it to life through texture, contrast, and a little je ne sais quois!
Artesian Designs spaces are designed to be lived in; a beautiful backdrop for everyday life. With a focus on elevated comfort and timelessness, the goal of each design is to highlight both the home’s architectural and natural elements while creating a space that you will love for years to come.
Kristy is a hands-on designer and likes to be visible on site as often as possible to ensure that all is running according to plan. She understands that open and constant communication with both the client and the trades is critical to the success of the project .
Kristy holds a Bachelor of Science of Architectural studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, she is a human Shazam, #boymom, ice cream enthusiast, and a sucker for a good pun.
Emily Park
Furnishing Designer// Emily studied architecture at the University of Illinois and the École nationale supérieure d’architecture Versailles. She has spent her career working across interior design, event production, and graphic design. Additionally, she held a leadership role for a Chicago area nonprofit supporting student fashion designers.
After numerous weekends spent combing vintage and antique stores from Malibu to Melbourne and everywhere in between, Emily was inspired to turn her passion for interior design into a professional career.
Emily believes that every room begins with a vision, and that the smallest detail can inspire everyday joy. Her designs combine high quality textiles, distinctive art, and one-of-a-kind vintage pieces to create spaces which are unique, expressive, and timeless.
There is a special place in Emily’s heart for abstract art, pink peonies, pop culture references and cheese fries.
